In a few weeks I will be releasing some old material, mostly recorded in 2003, through iTunes, eMusic, etc. - the Ian Catt-produced "Girl Talk" e.p. (5 songs with girls' names in the title), a collection of "Augs & Ends", and the first Lullaby Oscillator (http://www.myspace.com/lullabyoscillator) e.p. "Enmannasovrumspop". In about a month the "Always Kisses" full-length will be up there too. And I've finally made a rock stone myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/rockstoneandkittens); do, let's be friends.

So the site is back up and running. I've been working on a new project entitled Lullaby Oscillator. I've finished an e.p. called "enmannasovrumspop" which means "one man bedroom pop" in swedish. Do get in touch if you'd like to hear it. I've also made a myspace page for it with 2 songs up here - http://www.myspace.com/lullabyoscillator

Two new songs from the 'Always Kisses' sessions up in the listen section. They were to originally intended to be released as a 7" but since, sadly, no one really presses vinyl anymore, I'm just going to put them up here. They feature the lovely vocals of Miss Catherine Cavanagh of Chop Chop and Fitts (the Elevator Drops, Garvy J.) on drums.

Have been living in London for the past two months and greatly enjoying it. Hope to play some European shows soon and might possibly form the live band I've always wanted.

I'm going to be putting a bunch of songs up on here over the coming weeks. Some old stuff that never got released as well as some new. Enjoy!

Happy New Year! Well, I'm back in the States and I have a show. London was truly the time of my life and I'd like to thank all the exceptionally nice people in the U.K., Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands who helped me out while I was over there. It was great meeting you all, I hope to be back
soon.

The "Strawberry Girl" single has been pushed back to either March or April. I have a few ideas for other projects, including Lullaby Oscillator, which I am working on now. I will put info up about these as it happens. Keep your eyes peeled here. I will be playing one or two L.O. songs at the T.T.'s show. Hope to see you there.

Finally, a show with Fosca! Very exciting.

10/10/03
I've been in London for a month now and am happily living in Kentish Town. I finally finished the "Girl Talk" e.p. (it's been four years since I originally had the idea). Ian Catt produced it and I'm so pleased with the result! It has the songs "New Val", "Starring Amelia", "Dreaming of Catherine", "Danielle's Hair" and the song that gave me the whole idea - "Sarah's Records". I'll be trying a few of these out at upcoming shows. Speaking of which, I'm doing an acoustic set in Frankfurt on October 25th at the Apricot Records night. Should be a blast! There is also talk of going
to Poitiers, France soon. And maybe I'll play in London while I'm here (til December 22nd). Hopefully. The full-length "Always Kisses" should be being mixed now. I'm off to see Fosca tonight. That's about all that's new with me. You?

8/29/03
Hey Everyone, I just realized I haven't updated this thing in a while. The album is almost ready to be mixed. I'm totally psyched about it. My friend Catherine Cavanagh sang back-up on some songs the other night and it sounds great. Garvy J from the Elevator Drops also added some "bitch'in" guitar work.

The Strawberry Girl single will be released on Sonic Syrup records this December in two formats. Coloured 7" vinyl b/w "Winter Kiss" and a CD5 b/w "Always Kisses (Gold Version)", "Stars (demo)", "In Two Tears (Gold Version)", and "Star Slide". "Hers" should also be available soon on the third installment of the Tonevendor comps. There are a bunch of left-over songs if anyone wants one for a compilation.

In other news, I am moving to London September 8th - December 22nd. I am recording the "Girl Talk" e.p. with Ian Catt towards the end of September. I am very excited about this. I would love to play as many shows as I can while I'm there and am willing to travel anywhere around Europe so if you'd like Rock Stone to come play please email me and hopefully we can work something out.

Great new review from an excellent zine
And I'll be playing all the Texas Governor shows except PA. Hope to see you there.

"Strawberry Girl" is out this week on the new Buzzlighter compilation from Shut Eye Records. We finished drums (yes, real drums) and bass for the album and "Everyone Knows I Love You (So Why Don't I?)/"Just Friends" 7" and are finishing up the "This Heaven" and "The Wrong Girl" e.p.s. "The Wrong Girl" e.p. will feature "French Magazines", the song I wrote with my sister Jaime at the family piano over Xmas. I've done it acoustic a few times and it seems to go over well.

"As they say, if you have luck in love, nothing works, and vice-versa. So... record some superb eps and albums now, fall in love later ;)" - Karl Eriksson. Karl emailed these words of wisdom today which I find highly quotable.

I will be playing guitar on a few Texas Governor dates coming up. We may even do a Rock Stone song, "When I C U", that will be on the album. I will be playing in at least Boston and Brooklyn as to the other dates I'm still unsure if I can make them.

Hey Everybody, Happy New Year and welcome to rock-stone.com. The "Cherry Vanilla"/"When U Look Away" 7" is finally out on Plastic Pancake and is available, among other places, at the Paris Rough Trade shop, one of my favourite record stores in the world! The "Song for a Girl"/"She Sobs Softly" 7" will be out in March on Sonic Syrup. Hats off to Danny Gold and Boothnavy who are each producing one song on the "Cotton Candy"/"In Two Tears" single which will be ready soon along with another Danny Gold produced single - "Strawberry Girl"/"Winter Kiss". Demos are very near being done for the full-length, Always Kisses, and I'll begin recording it this winter. More shows are on their way; thanks to everyone who came to the Batcave, Mohawk Place, and TT's. And a big thanks to Jaich for designing this site and the single covers. More soon.
Love,
Aug
